Hello! My name is John Burchell (Mr. John).I am from Canada.I am the new NET teacher at SKH St. John's Primary School.I like riding my motorcycle and bicycle, running, hiking, swimming, scuba diving, traveling, writing and having fun with family and friends.So living on Lamma Island in Hong Kong is perfect for me.
From an early age in Canada I had a desire to see the world.That's why teaching is a great fit because it has enabled me to work in places like Dubai – United Arab Emirates and Guatemala – Central America.
I love Hong Kong; it is such an interesting international place.It has been very exciting for my 3 children to experience. My son is 16 years old and my twin daughters are 18 years old.I am a very lucky Dad…they are awesome kids.
I find the children in Hong Kong a joy to teach.They are so enthusiastic about learning English and eager to try, when given a chance.The other teachers at the School too have been very helpful and easy to work with.They made the transition into this new school for me quite effortless.
I'm looking forward to more experiences and success here in multicultural Hong Kong.I expect that I'll be here for many years, since there is so much of Asia and China that I haven't explored.
